See? Layer 2s crush Ethereum mainnet fees. Add networks in settings if missing-Polygon, Optimism, etc. Super cheap swaps there.
New wallet? Empty? Grab some base coin from Binance, Coinbase. Copy your address, pick right network (BSC for BNB, Ethereum for ETH). Withdraw small test first-0.01 ETH or whatever. Wait 5-10 mins.
Why? Swaps need balance for gas + slippage buffer. I always send extra 10-20% for safety. Once funded, swap the rest into what you want.
Token not showing? Paste contract address. Grab from Dexscreener, CoinGecko, or chain explorer (BscScan for BSC). MetaMask adds it auto post swap often, but manual: Assets tab > Import token.
