You asked for easy connect, fund, trade? That's it. No BS. I usually skip right to wallet stuff because that's where 90% of newbies get stuck. Why? Chains. Bridges. Gas. It's a mess if you're not clued in. But today? We're fixing that. Sound familiar? You've probably rage quit a bridge halfway through.

The thing is, Hyperliquid's on its own L1 chain. Super fast, no gas for trades, up to 50x leverage on perps. Pretty much CEX vibes but decentralized. Fees? Maker 0.01%, taker 0.035% or something tiny like that. Funding rates flip every hour, keeps things fair. But honestly, if you don't get USDC in there first, you're dead in the water.

Wallet Connect: Don't Overthink It

Stuck on Connection?

Common glitch: Wrong chain. Hyperliquid wants Arbitrum for deposits. In MetaMask, add Arbitrum if it's missing (RPC: https://arb1.arbitrum.io/rpc). Approve "Enable Trading" - it's free, just signs you in. If it fails? Clear cache, refresh. Happens to me weekly.

Get Funds In: Bridge USDC Like a Pro

USDC is king here. ETH, BTC, SOL work too but swap 'em to USDC on Hyperliquid spot first. Gas for deposit? Tiny, like 0.0005 ETH on Arbitrum.

1. Get USDC + ETH on Arbitrum. Buy on Binance/Coinbase, withdraw to Arb. Or swap in your wallet.
2. Back on Hyperliquid dashboard. Click "Deposit". Pick USDC from Arbitrum.
3. Enter amount. Hit Deposit. Confirm in wallet (gas ~$0.50-2 depending on network).
4. Wait 1-2 mins. Check Assets tab. There it is.

Bridges if you're cross chain: deBridge is native, super quick from Solana/Eth/Base. Or Across, Synapse. I like deBridge - 30s from Solana USDC. Fees? Network gas only, no Hyperliquid cut.

Your First Trade: Long or Short, No Sweat

Dashboard's clean. Left: pick pair like BTC USD or some meme perp. Chart middle. Order book right. Bottom: order panel.

Okay, say BTC. Think it'll moon? Long. Tank? Short. Slider for size. That's your position size = collateral x leverage. Put in $100 USDC at 10x? $1000 position. Easy math.

1. Select perp, say BTC.
2. Long/Short toggle.
3. Order type: Market (instant), Limit (your price).
4. Leverage slider: 1x to 50x. Start low, like 5x.
5. Size: Type or slide. See liq price update live.
6. Hit Place Order. Confirm once (check "don't show again").

Positions tab shows PnL real time. Green? Winning. Red? Uh oh. Funding? Pays every hour - longs pay shorts if positive, vice versa. Keeps perps tracking spot.
